Bite Beauty

Boom! By Cindy Joseph
Cindy Joseph spent most of her career as a makeup artist before being “discovered” as a model in 2000, when she was 49. She appeared in advertisements for a variety of companies (including Dolce & Gabbana, Olay, Anthropologie and Ann Taylor) as well as in fashion magazines like Vogue. She continued an active modeling career until 2018, when she died of soft tissue sarcoma.
Model Cindy Joseph started the Boom! cosmetic company in 2010 to promote her belief that older women look better when they wear a minimal amount of makeup that brings out their natural beauty rather than covering it up. The centerpiece of the company is the Boomstick Color stick, which is designed to create a natural-looking healthy glow on the cheeks and lips.
(The company now also sells a few other makeup products, including a highlighting stick; a moisturizing stick; an eyebrow gel; a mascara; and a lip balm. If foundation is truly needed, they suggest choosing a cream version.)

Westman Atelier
Gucci Westman is a famous makeup artist who launched her own “luxury clean” brand in 2018 and who features many of her over-50 celebrity friends (such as Cameron Diaz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Demi Moore) on her YouTube channel.
Her products are intended to provide a “no-makeup makeup look” with a soft youthful glow and seem mostly targeted at women who are 40+.
Westman (who is not related in any way to the Gucci fashion company) states that her goal in forming the company was to provide products that are as clean as possible, without the use of a variety of questionable ingredients (including any silicones).
Westman Atelier products tend to be among the highest-priced clean makeup items currently on the market.
